When: Saturday, June 4th (also Colorado Free Fishing weekend)
This date was selected to promote parents and other family members to join in on fishing without needing to purchase a license or habitat stamp.
Participants: 16 years and under
Purpose: To kindle a fire for fishing and nature in the youth of our local communities.
• Quiet time in nature foster clarity of mind
• Encourage family time together
• Teach stewardship for nature
• Create new generation of anglers
• Learn numerous facts about fishing
Every kid is a winner! No registration fee. The first 20 to register get a goody bag consisting of: Power bait, night crawlers, lake sinkers, hooks, and a nylon fishing stringer. So the early bird gets the worm!
Registration: 7:30 am to 9:30 am, weigh-in at 1:00 pm

Along with trained disc jockeys, they provide professional audio and lighting equipment and a continuously updated music library with over 7,500 titles!

Put your cooking skills to the test and enter the contest. Three categories will be judged. Green Chili, Red Chili and Salsa! To sign up and for more information contact Bonnie at 505-330-3658. All cooks get a coupon for 25% off any single store item. There is no entry fee.
If your cooking skills are lacking but your taste buds aren’t, come join us for sampling and judging!
Sampling and People’s Choice judging begins at 11:00 and judging ends by 2:00 PM. We will have homemade tortillas for sale at the store. The sampler cups are a $1.00 each or 6 cups for $5.
Cash Prizes:
• 1st place People’s choice is $25 in all categories, red chili, green chili, and salsa
• 1st place Judges choice is $25 in all categories, red chili, green chili, and salsa
Any cook that gets a first place both in judges and people’s choice wins a one night stay in
the fish creek cabin.

We are going to have a Happy Angler prize drawing for $100 cash at the Dance on July 1st at 8pm. You must be present with your ticket to win. We will hand out tickets for the drawing with every purchase at the store on Saturday.

This tournament was born out of the heart of Edith Jarmon, and we hope to continue this legacy and honor her memory, by renaming the tournament. Same fun, great prizes and food! Participants must be under 16 years of age.
Prizes will be awarded for, the largest fish in inches, one for the total weight of 4 fish, and one for the youngest participant with a catch. Lunch will be provided for participants, hamburgers and hot dogs!

NOTICE: The youth tournament has been postponed to August or September due to covid-19. The date will be announced when it is deemed appropriate. There is the potential that it will be cancelled this year but Kiwanis are working hard to make it happen. Thank you for your continued support.
